š ļø What Youāll Do
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer (18-wheeler) on designated transfer station-to-landfill routes
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any mechanical concerns
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and traffic laws
- Navigate highways, local roads, and landfill environments in varying weather conditions
- Maintain accurate documentation including driver logs, trip sheets, and weight tickets
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, landfill personnel, and internal teams
- Secure loads properly, operate tarping systems, and follow loading/unloading procedures
- Report incidents, near-misses, or safety hazards immediately
- Participate in ongoing safety training, meetings, and compliance audits

What You Bring
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- 1ā2+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Experience with landfill or transfer station operations (preferred)
- Current DOT Medical Examinerās Certificate
- Knowledge of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Ability to safely maneuver in tight or high-traffic environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving
- Frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab
- Comfortable working in environments with noise, odors, outdoor weather, and landfill conditions
