We are global private markets specialists delivering tailored investment solutions, advisory services, and impactful, data driven insights to the world’s investors. Leveraging the power of our platform and our peerless intelligence across sectors, strategies, and geographies, we help identify the advantages and the answers our clients need to succeed.

    Position Overview

The Junior Analyst will work closely with senior SPAR team members and all relevant departments to support client reporting needs and the Department/Firm at large.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Use performance reporting systems and analytics dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI) to compile accurate and timely reports for external clients

    • Assist in execution and oversight of the full lifecycle of periodic reporting processes, ensuring proper data practices and methodologies are applied
    • Remain organized while adjusting to competing demands, aiming to beat rather than meet deadlines
    • Assist in developing and maintaining new and enhanced data-related content for client deliverables
    • Become relied upon as a “domain expert” by developing a deep understanding of reporting tools, industry best practices and proprietary reporting systems
    • Must be curious, willing to innovate and can create novel approaches on a day-to-day basis

    Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Intelligence or Data Analytics related field preferred
    • 1+ years of experience; Private Markets experience preferred
    • Prior experience with the use of data analysis and performance reporting
    • Record of accomplishment of projects demonstrating value-add initiatives

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Experience with performance reporting software and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Excel, Jira, Power Pivot and Tabular Models
    • Extremely strong attention to detail
    • Strong time management, prioritization, and communication skills
    • Highly motivated self-starter, with demonstrated history of taking initiative, being adaptive in a fast-changing environment, and working independently
    • Inquisitive and intellectually curious, able to independently learn recent technologies, skills, and industry standards
    • Progress towards obtaining a relevant professional designation such as CFA or CAIA is a plus
