Tank Cleaner

Stolt Tank Containers (STC) is a leading provider of door-to-door transportation services for bulk- liquid chemicals and food-grade products. With a fleet of more than 45,000 tank containers, STC is the only operator with its own worldwide network of 22 owned and joint venture depots. You will be joining a professional and international team with extensive knowledge of the industry. Working closely with our customers and vendors, you will provide customers with excellent service. Your expertise ensures that we will continue to set the industry benchmark for seamless and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities
Clean targeted volume daily during normal working hours as long as there are dirty tanks available for cleaning.

• Ensure chemical wastes are collected in drums for disposal.
• Ensure the first rinse water of toxic or smelly chemicals are collected in drums for disposal.
• Ensure to apply appropriate cleaning methods and to take necessary safety precautions to meet STC’s, customers’ and OHSE management requirement.
• Carry out periodic tests during normal working hours with proper pressure valves overhaul as long as there are tanks available for periodic test.
• Fit all seals, gaskets and tank accessories / parts correctly and to take necessary safety precautions to meet STC’s, customers’ and OHSE requirement.
• Ensure all tank features such as thermometer gauge, pressure valve, rupture disc and remote control line, etc are in good functional condition when fitting them onto tank containers. Make sure to take all essential steps to carry out appropriate tank preparation.
• Ensure all tanks when made available are leak free with undamaged steam coil.
• Record accurately on number of parts changed on tanks and parts drawn from the inventory.
• In cleaning or leakage test, remove any hazardous labels and make sure tank exterior is stain free and meets STC’s, customers’ and road law requirements.
• Carry out tank repair in safety manners, such as cladding patch, walkway straighten, frame repair, etc, and report to operations coordinator when done.

• Assist Supervisors in any jobs which help for depot works.

  Requirement

• Experience in tank cleaning and tank repair
