The Director of Sales Strategy is a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for translating Stonewall Kitchen’s brand strategies, marketing plans, and consumer insights into compelling customer strategies and executable go-to-market plans. Serving as the key liaison between Brand/Marketing and Field Sales, this role connects brand objectives to customer needs and commercial opportunities that drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Commercialization
- Translate brand strategies, marketing plans, consumer insights, and business objectives into actionable customer strategies and go-to-market plans.
- Partner with Sales to understand customer priorities, challenges, and opportunities and convert insights into commercial strategies.
- Develop customer-specific selling stories, presentations, tools, and recommendations that clearly communicate the value of Stonewall Kitchen’s brands, products, and programs.
Innovation & Customer Development
- Bring customer and channel perspectives into innovation strategy and development.
- Partner closely with Club teams on innovation, assortment, pack configuration, pricing, and customer-specific requirements.
- Develop customer-ready presentations and materials that clearly communicate the business opportunity.
Secondary Placement & Incremental Growth
- Lead strategies to secure secondary and off-shelf placement across key customers.
- Develop displays, promotions, seasonal programs, special events, and other incremental merchandising opportunities with Brand Marketing.
Go-to-Market Planning
- Lead go-to-market strategies for brand initiatives, innovation launches, seasonal programs, and customer opportunities.
- Translate broad brand plans into clear execution plans covering who, what, when, where, and how.
- Equip Sales with the tools, stories, information, and materials required to execute commercial priorities.
Annual Deployment Initiative
- Lead the annual deployment initiative from strategy through execution.
- Establish timelines, processes, deliverables, and cross-functional responsibilities.
- Continuously improve the deployment process using field feedback, customer needs, and business results.
