Specialist Clinician

Are you a skilled Therapist, Counsellor, Social Worker or other registered Mental Health Professional with experience supporting adolescents and adults? This is your opportunity to join a values-driven team making a real difference across Te Waipounamu.

This position is based on 32 hours per week. We are committed to finding the right person and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements, including potential variations in hours, for an exceptional candidate.

What you'll do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment and intervention plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to adolescents and adults, including individual, family and group-based support where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with whānau, community agencies, health providers and other professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to care.
• Support clients to build resilience, enhance wellbeing and achieve their therapeutic goals.
• Maintain accurate client records and participate in clinical review, supervision and quality improvement processes.

What you bring

• A recognised qualification in psychology, counselling, social work or a related mental health discipline.
• Current professional registration and a current practising certificate (where applicable).
• Experience working with adolescents and adults in a therapeutic or clinical setting.
• Strong assessment, engagement and intervention skills.
• A sound understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding principles.
• Well-developed therapeutic skills, professional judgement and cultural competence.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
