About the role
The Installation Technician is responsible for performing installation services for Strong Technical Services cross the United States. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, has strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and works well both on their own and within a team environment. This position will require extensive travel and will be a mix of both over the road and air travel.
What you'll do
- Install projection screens, frames, and masking systems
- Install cinema seating systems, drapery, and speaker systems
- Run network and speaker cabling
- Install display panels on walls and other surfaces
- Install high-end LED Video Walls, and specialty displays
- Construct and break down of scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures
- Load and unload building materials
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding quality, specifications, and delivered condition of products
- Willing to take ownership and take on other duties as assigned
This position requires in and out of market travel up to 100% of the time; this position requires the ability to work weekends, occasional holidays, and overnight.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years of technical or installation experience preferred
- Familiarity with power and measurement tools
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques
- Must be comfortable completing work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and screen frames
- Must be able to lift weight in excess of 50lbs regularly
- Must be able to sit, stand, push, or pull for periods of time
- Follow safety regulations in accordance with local guidelines
- Must be able to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Proficient with MS Office and basic computer networking
- Valid driver’s license required; must be capable of operating non-CDL trucks with trailers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfortable working in a high-stress, face-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Self-starter who can find and resolve issues as they are identified
- Ability to successfully interface with a wide range of personnel within the organization
