Heath Primary School is looking for a Teaching Assistant in Lower Key Stage 2.

You will:

• be positive and motivated

• be adaptable and show initiative where needed

• share the school's vision and ethos

• have high expectations of both behaviour and pupil outcomes

• have a strong subject knowledge with relation to the primary curriculum, in particular, Mathematics and English

• have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/level 4 or above (or equivalent).

Desirable but not essential:

• the ability to work in a team

• experience using a range of technology including Microsoft Teams

• the ability to take the initiative and adapt work to the child or situation

• the ability to work both in the classroom and out of the classroom

• an understanding that children’s behaviour is a form of communication and that unacceptable behaviour has a root cause

• the ability to unpick unacceptable behaviour in order to identify triggers.
