FORK LIFT OPERATOR

General Purpose:  Safely operate a forklift to move and build pallets in preparation for product shipment

Essential Functions:

• Review daily schedule and report to work area
• Preform forklift pre-inspections and report operational problems to the Team Leader
• Operate forklift in compliance with proper operating instructions and safety procedures
• Refuel forklift at end of shift and/or as needed
• Troubleshoot minor forklift operation issues and make adjustments 
• Locate and retrieve products to build pallets manually and/or with forklift in preparation for shipping 
• Move pallets with forklift to staging area
• May use electric or manual pallet jack to move products
• Gather and assemble specific customer orders
• Manually lift boxes ranging in weight from 1 lb. to 80 lbs. to build approximately 28 pallets per day
• Use shrink wrapping machine to prepare pallets for shipping
• Palletize boxes maintaining a pace commensurate with daily schedule 
• Utilize scanner to locate inventory and maintain inventory tracking
• Place proper labels on pallets and boxes according to company procedure
• Perform work in a fast paced environment, maintain production and quality requirements 
• Maintain proper housekeeping of area and equipment
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/ License/Certification:

• Forklift Certification
• Pallet jack certification
