    Summary/Objective

    Examines, verifies, analyzes, and evaluates organizational, maintenance and operations safety procedures and policies to ensure that they are necessary, sufficient, and in compliance with any applicable regulations, laws, or ordinances. Will be responsible for producing accurate data documents for project management. 

    The safety auditor identifies operational risks, checks safety equipment, and writes clear reports on facility safety. They help organizations prevent accidents, protect workers, and meet legal rules. 

    Essential Functions

     Site Inspections: Walk through facilities to check equipment, machine guards, and general work areas. 

    Compliance Verification: Test operations against standards like OSHA or local health rules. 

    Hazard Identification: Find hidden risks such as poor air quality, loud noises, or chemical storage issues.

     Report Writing: Document all findings with clear details, photos, and risk levels. 

     Corrective Action Planning: Suggest practical ways to fix safety gaps and follow up to make sure they are done

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in safety management, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety). 
    • Knowledge: Strong understanding of safety regulations (like OSHA General Industry standards).
    • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, strong written communication, and the ability to work independently. 
    • Certifications: Professional credentials such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ASP, or OHST are often preferred. 

     Responsibilities

    • Conduct safety audits in compliance with company policies and regulations
    • Evaluate potential hazards and risks in the workplace and develop strategies to mitigate them
    • Develop and implement safety programs and policies that align with industry standards
    • Provide training and education to employees on safety procedures and practices
    • Conduct investigations into safety incidents and accidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
    • Stay up to date on changes to safety regulations and industry best practices
    • Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
    • Prepare reports and presentations on safety performance and provide recommendations for improvement

    Required Education and Experience

    · High school diploma or equivalent, 

    · Basic reading and math skills

    · Must be computer and tablet savvy

    · Previous experience with excel, photoshop, or adobe products for visual management

    · Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately

    · Able to lift to 40 lbs. safely as required

    · Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills

    Preferred Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.

    One year of prior warehouse experience.

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment

    This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds daily. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
