    The annual range for this role is $106,000- $132,500 

    Final salary offers are determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, specialized skills, and certifications.

    Purpose and Scope of Job:

    Responsible for collaborating with the managers for the GM & GB segments to create higher-level marketing strategies for the Americas. Partner with Strategic Sales to develop an industry focused go to market approach. Work with the Executive Team on strategic and branding iniatives. Responsible for other strategic marketing / international efforts that may not be directly product-specific. The focus of this position will be “international” in nature including global integration and lead among subsidiaries

    Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

    • Create detailed strategic marketing analysis and plans and formal recommendations for evaluation.
    • Together with the Segment Managers (Business Unit Mangers) and Strategic Sales Manager, help identify go to market strategies as they relate to Marketing and in assigned market segments/ Industries; then implement these strategies to successful completion goals.
    • Work with the Product Management Team to help create annual and on-going product line strategies; provide input to the marketing communication team to ensure efficient execution of selected strategies from a marketing point of view.
    • Monitor and understand all aspects of competitor’s marketing strategies and develop responses to those strategies.
    • Develop marketing segment of product launch plans and help execute those plans.
    • Serve as single point of contact for marketing communications issues with subsidiaries, sister divisions and corporate headquarters.
    • Be the integral and key representative of SMA to the global marketing initiatives and projects involving Global HQ and other sister companies; lead many of these same global marketing efforts.
    • Maintain control of company intellectual property assets.
    • Work with the Strategic Sales team and Sr. Sales leadership to develop a lead generation system to foster and cultivate new sales.
    • Develop and maintain a Social Media Strategy to enhance brand awareness.
    • Participate in Industries associations to enhance the brand awareness of Sumitomo Machinery Corp of America and stay abreast of marketing, branding, and Technology changes in the industry.
    • Together with the Product Managers, work to develop company professional training content intended for internal and customer-faced training.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business.  Master’s Degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
    • Seven (7) years of experience in marketing of manufactured products including product management responsibilities. Strategic and/or international marketing experience highly preferred
    • Three (3) years of project management experience primarily focused on marketing / product management.
    • Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals such as marketing mix, segmentation, positioning, targeting and differentiation focused on power transmission.
    • Experience in working with cross-cultural teams across several facilities globally
    • Fluent in English Language required, Functional Spanish and/or Japanese is a preferred option
