This position supports both our Bistro/Bar and Banquet Operations. The Server/Bartender is responsible for providing friendly and efficient food and beverage service, preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processing guest transactions, and assisting with meetings, banquets, receptions, and other hotel events.

The ideal candidate enjoys interacting with guests, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to help create an excellent guest experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    Bistro & Bar Service

    • Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service.
    • Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter orders into the POS system.
    • Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
    • Serve Bistro food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
    • Provide guests with information regarding menu items, beverages, and hotel offerings.
    • Check identification and follow all applicable laws and hotel policies regarding alcohol service.
    • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
    • Maintain accurate guest checks and properly close out transactions at the end of each shift.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar and Bistro service area.
    • Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities as assigned.
    • Restock beverages, glassware, supplies, and other service items as needed.

    Banquets & Events

    • Assist with food and beverage service for hotel meetings, banquets, receptions, and special events.
    • Review event details and banquet event orders as directed by management.
    • Set up banquet rooms, beverage stations, bars, buffets, and service areas according to event requirements.
    • Serve food and beverages professionally and efficiently during events.
    • Provide bartending service for banquet functions when required.
    • Monitor guest needs throughout events and respond promptly to requests.
    • Assist with clearing tables, resetting event spaces, and banquet breakdown following functions.
    • Work closely with kitchen and banquet team members to ensure smooth and timely service.

    Guest Service & Teamwork

    • Create a welcoming and positive experience for hotel guests and event attendees.
    • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests.
    • Handle guest concerns appropriately and involve management when necessary.
    • Work cooperatively with hotel leadership teams.
    • Maintain professional appearance and behavior at all times.
    • Assist other team members and departments when business needs require.

    Cleanliness, Safety & Compliance

    • Maintain clean and sanitary food and beverage service areas.
    • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements.
    • Follow all applicable alcohol-service laws and company policies.
    • Properly store and secure alcoholic beverages and bar supplies.
    • Monitor inventory and communicate product or supply shortages to management.
    • Follow hotel procedures regarding cash handling, credit card transactions, and alcohol controls.
    • Report safety hazards, equipment problems, guest incidents, or other concerns promptly to management.

    Qualifications

    • Previous serving, bartending, restaurant, hotel, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred.
    • Bartending experience and knowledge of basic beer, wine, and cocktail preparation preferred.
    • Strong guest-service and communication skills.
    • Friendly, professional, and outgoing demeanor.
    • Ability to multitask and remain organized during busy service periods.
    • Ability to accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
    • Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Must meet all state and local requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
    • Food-handler and/or alcohol-service certification may be required.
    • Ability to remain professional when handling difficult or demanding guest situations.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to carry trays containing food, beverages, glassware, and dishes.
    • Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry supplies throughout the shift.
    • Ability to safely lift approximately 25–40 pounds as needed.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant, bar, and banquet environment.

Because the hotel operates seven days a week and provides both Bistro and banquet service, candidates must have scheduling flexibility. Morning, evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required based on hotel occupancy and scheduled events.

If you enjoy meeting new people, staying busy, and working in an environment where every day can be a little different, we’d love to hear from you.
