Material Handling: Safely operate a wheel loader or front-end loader to transport bulk aggregates from stockpiles and load them into the plant's feed hoppers.
Stockpile Management: Organize and maintain the layout of the plant yard, ensuring different materials do not mix and are stored safely without contamination.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-shift equipment inspections, routine preventative maintenance (greasing, fluid checks), and minor mechanical repairs on the loader.
Inventory Monitoring: Keep track of raw material levels and communicate with the plant manager with incoming material deliveries.
Site Housekeeping: Keep the plant premises clean, remove spills, and help keep work zones free of hazards in compliance with environmental and safety regulations
Qualifications
Experience: Typically requires 1–3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, specifically a front-end loader, in a construction or aggregate environment.
Mechanical Aptitude: Basic ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance.
Safety & Compliance: An understanding of OSHA and MSHA safety guidelines.
Physical Stamina: The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, climb in and out of heavy machinery, and lift up to 50 lbs.
