JOB TITLE: Food and Beverage Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Dining Room

REPORTS TO: General Manager

POSITION PURPOSE:

The primary purpose of a Food and Beverage Supervisor is to lead, manage, and support food and beverage operations to ensure smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and the achievement of operational goals. They act as a bridge between management and frontline staff, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed, standards are maintained, and the team is motivated and productive.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assign server, bartender, and busser stations
Ability to supervise staff to ensure that all tasks are completed on time
Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned
Communicate daily operational needs between management and team members
Monitor opening, running, and closing side work assignments
Ensure staff have accurately recorded all tip outs
Complete end of shift checkout procedures for staff
Monitor guest service standards and team member interactions
Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training where necessary
Ability to resolve any customer disputes or complaints

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Prior leadership or supervisory experience in food and beverage operations preferred
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
Ability to work well in a stressful and fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifteen (15) pounds
Must be willing to work swing shifts, weekends and holidays as directed by management
Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis
Must be able to operate general computer equipment including laptop, keyboard, and mouse with ease
Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
Must be able to climb stairs, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat)
