Job description

Objective: The Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, organizing, and staging incoming materials to support efficient production operations. This position ensures all parts are accurately documented, meet company quality standards, and are available according to production schedules.

Reports to: Materials Manager

Direct Reports: None

Location: Manufacturing Plant (Custom Shop Building)

Main Responsibilities:

Open and organize incoming skids, sorting doors and other materials according to customer orders and production schedules.
Inspect all received parts for quantity, accuracy, damage, and compliance with company specifications and quality standards.
Review production documentation and stage parts in accordance with scheduling requirements.
Label, organize, and store materials in designated locations to maintain an orderly and efficient receiving area.
Communicate effectively with internal team members, as well as external suppliers when required.
Follow all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
Perform other duties assigned to support production and operational needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous experience in receiving, warehousing, shipping, inventory, or a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, production paperwork, and schedules.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to identify quality or quantity discrepancies.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position safely.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Working Conditions

This role is performed primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and may involve prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling materials of varying sizes and weights. Appropriate personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
