Registered Nurse - PACU (Part-Time)
Schedule: Must be available for 3 day shifts per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday). Friday availability required  two times per month based on staffing levels.

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Registered Nurse is a professional who provides patient care based upon the nursing process; being effectively involved with maintaining the standard of care for assigned patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The Registered Nurse shall oversee and guide employees that are under his/her supervision. RN PACU Performs nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period, assessing, communicating patient status with the surgeon, physician and anesthesia providers and documenting care given in the post anesthesia care unit (PACU). Nursing care is specific based on the type of anesthesia administered (general anesthesia or monitored anesthesia) and the procedure or surgery performed (ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedic or pain management).  Pediatric and adult patients.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Has a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State
• Current CPR certification and current ACLS certification required; PALS certification required within 90 days of hire
• Minimum one year post anesthesia care unit or minimum two years of experience in outpatient surgery, Medical/Surgical, ED, or ICU nursing.
