The Role:
Here at Survitec, we are currently recruiting for a Safety Service Technician to join our team based in Miramar, Florida.
Survitec Group Miramar is looking for a detail-oriented, good communicator with a technical background to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the followings; supports qualified technicians to install, maintain, or repair Survitec products across one or more product categories, whilst working towards becoming fully competent. It is focused on delivering Survitec standard work to maintain and uphold right first time and operational efficiency. Successful completion of technical product training and the demonstration of applying that learning through competence assessment results in progression to Service Technician.

What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities:
· Supports a qualified Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair Survitec safety equipment to standard. This includes learning to deliver discrete steps within the core servicing process under own supervision, as well as working alongside qualified technicians to learn and practice more complex steps under full supervision
· Supports the Service Operations team to implement controlled changes to processes to deliver continuous improvement
· Helps specialists set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance and support where needed
· Carries out preventive maintenance inspections under supervision, developing the skills to identify and diagnose requirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs
· Develops knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards, completing personal development path towards becoming competent in core Survitec product categories
· Follows Survitec Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and mandatory instructions; identifies and raises risks to safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of self and others
· Develops own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; works towards competence in multiple product lines, to become part of a flexible service operations workforce
· Develops and maintains an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation and industry best practices through ongoing personal development
· Follows stores requisition processes to maintain accurate stock levels and records
· Contributes to creating an environment where everyone in the team can live the Survitec Values

· Understands, upholds and contributes to creating a safety-first culture within Survitec. Ensures a safe and healthy working environment
Skills:
· Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments
· Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions
· Must be capable of inspecting, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting, repairing, and reporting them.
· Be familiar with testing pressure, flow, and level switches and transmitters
· Be familiar with US and European fire safety systems
· Must be able to calibrate and test assorted systems
· Liaise with supervisors to identify repair requirements
· Continuous improvement of processes and procedures
Experience and qualification
· Educated to High School level, with 4 GCSEs or equivalent
· 2 – 3 years of job-related experience enables the practitioner to operate unsupervised and at a fully competent level within Fire and Safety equipment and systems
· Marine Industry background (preferred)
· Technical and Mechanical ability
· Good physical condition
· Service-oriented and safety-minded approach
· Versatile and adaptable to varied working conditions
· Availability to travel and work overtime
· Ability to cooperate across organizational lines internally and towards Customers
· Able to work under pressure and on own initiative
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team
· Good communication skills and command of the English language (oral and written)
· Computer literate – Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams
