About the role
You will provide professional occupational health advice to managers and employees across the Council, supporting attendance, wellbeing and safe working practices.
The role includes:
Managing a varied caseload of occupational health referrals
Providing clear, practical and evidence-based advice on fitness for work and workplace adjustments
Supporting a proactive, prevention-focused wellbeing service
Working closely with HR, Health & Safety and external providers
You will be joining a service where your clinical judgement is valued, and where there is genuine scope to influence how the service develops.
About you
We are looking for a confident and experienced practitioner who:
Is a Registered Nurse with a recognised Occupational Health qualification
Has experience of managing occupational health cases and delivering clear, defensible advice
Works independently and is comfortable managing a varied workload
Has strong communication and report writing skills
Is highly competent in the use of IT systems for case management and clinical record keeping

This post is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with the potential for permanency
The role requires travel across Council sites
