The successful candidate will join the Digital Services team within the Programme and Portfolio department, playing a pivotal role in the Council's digital transformation programme.
You will work closely with services at all levels to design and deliver engaging training, communication and support activities that build digital confidence, foster innovation and ensure technology investments deliver efficiency, improved user experiences and measurable outcomes for the Council and its communities. This will initially focus on Copilot but will expand to other digital and AI tools.
This is a full time permanent post.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop and deliver training programmes that increase digital confidence and competence across the organisation.
- Create and implement communication campaigns to promote new digital tools, automation solutions and AI technologies.
- Provide hands‑on support and troubleshooting for staff adopting digital platforms and services.
- Collaborate with service teams to identify automation and AI opportunities that improve service delivery.
- Develop user guides, FAQs and self‑service resources to facilitate independent use of digital solutions.
- Monitor and report on adoption metrics, user satisfaction and realised benefits of digital initiatives.
- Facilitate pilot projects and proof‑of‑concept trials for emerging technologies.
- Gather feedback from users and translate insights into continuous improvement recommendations.
- Coordinate with the wider Digital Services team to ensure alignment with the Council’s digital strategy.
- Prepare regular performance reports for senior management highlighting outcomes and value realised.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum three years’ experience delivering digital transformation, training or change‑management programmes.
- Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with automation tools, AI platforms or low‑code development environments.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and budgets.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret adoption data and measure impact.
- Demonstrated customer‑focused approach and ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of public sector digital service standards and best practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and seniority levels.
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
