Job Summary

Swissport is the largest ground handler of freight and passengers. At Schiphol East, Swissport Cargo NL has three large warehouses for handling air freight. A total of 250 colleagues work every day to unload the aircraft and load them with cargo.You will find our platform right on the runway. Here you work among the planes and together with a nice group of colleagues you load and unload the planes.

Your activities

• You make preparations on the platform to ensure proper handling. This includes preparing the necessary equipment and ground service equipment;
• Installing and/or connecting the ground power unit;
• Placing wheel chocks, cones and aircraft stairs;
• Operating all ground service equipment, including a tractor, ground power unit, conveyor belt, pallet mover and aircraft stairs;
• Ensuring the transport of freight from warehouse to the platform and vice versa;
• Reporting irregularities and/or deviations to the foreman;
• Supporting transport or warehouse activities.

Your profile

• You feel like working with a nice group of colleagues;
• Flexibility, stress resistance and a team player mentality;
• You have a good command of the Dutch language and knowledge of the English language;
• You are able to perform physically demanding work;
• You are in possession of a driving license B (car driving licence);
• Working in alternating shifts is no problem for you.

• Full-time contract of 38 hours per week and a salary of 2.729,36;
• 25 vacation days per year;
