You Are

You have spent years working with simulation tools and you know that the hardest part is not running the solver, it is understanding what the customer is actually trying to achieve and guiding them to an answer that works in their world. You are comfortable translating between engineering theory and messy real-world applications where boundary conditions are unclear and timelines are tight.

You have worked with CFD tools like Fluent or CFX, maybe in industry doing product development, maybe in a consulting role helping others solve thermal or flow problems. Either way, you understand fluid dynamics deeply enough to know when a model is set up wrong and why it matters.

What excites you now is the intersection of that technical depth and emerging AI tools. You see the potential for large language models and AI-driven support platforms to change how engineers get unstuck, and you want to be part of shaping that future, not just watching it happen.

You are someone who enjoys teaching as much as solving. What You'll Be Doing

• Help customers solve complex CFD and thermal simulation problems using Synopsys and Ansys Fluids products including Fluent, CFX, and Workbench
• Use AI-powered support platforms alongside your engineering expertise to diagnose issues, recommend solutions, and accelerate time to resolution
• Build long-term relationships with customers across aerospace, automotive, energy, and other industries by understanding their workflows and helping them succeed with simulation
• Create and maintain technical content like knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and best practice documents that help customers and internal teams get answers faster
• Lead or contribute to team projects focused on process improvements, content development, and operational excellence initiatives
• Submit product enhancement requests and document software defects through internal quality processes, then validate fixes during product release testing
• Evaluate AI-generated support responses for accuracy and relevance, providing feedback that improves the system and helps shape how AI tools support engineering workflows

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Hands-on experience using Synopsys or Ansys Fluids software, or demonstrated proficiency with other commercial CAE tools in a professional setting
• Strong technical foundation in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and numerical methods
• Proven ability to build numerical models and apply simulation techniques to solve real engineering problems, not just academic exercises
• Clear written and spoken English with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers with varying levels of simulation experience
• U.S. citizenship to meet ITAR and export-controlled program requirements

• You take ownership when something is not working, whether that means digging into a tricky case yourself, looping in a product expert, or escalating a defect until it gets resolved
