    Job description

    POSITION:  I.T. Administrator

    REPORTS TO:  Data & Process Manager

    CATEGORY:  Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, Permanent

    WAGE:  $29-$34 per hour

    WORK LOCATION:  Primarily on-site, with occasional remote work flexibility as business needs allow.
    As our IT Administrator, you’ll be the go-to technology expert for an organization doing meaningful work in the community. You’ll support technology across our main office and three retail store locations, keeping our people connected, productive, and secure.

    You’ll have ownership of the technology that keeps our organization running — including computers, servers, networks, phones, printers, software, cloud systems, cybersecurity, backups, and other business technology — while providing approachable, responsive support and training to employees.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve computer hardware, software, network, connectivity, and other technology issues.
    • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, servers, network equipment, printers, plotters, phone systems, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
    • Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and hybrid Active Directory environments.
    • Manage employee user accounts, access, permissions, device setup, software deployment, licensing, onboarding, and offboarding.
    • Maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco Meraki firewalls, wireless access points, and related systems.
    • Manage cybersecurity practices, security policies, endpoint protection, system updates, and employee cybersecurity awareness.
    • Maintain backup, data storage, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems, including Veeam, Synology NAS, and cloud-based backup solutions.
    • Maintain accurate hardware, software, license, and technology asset inventories.
    • Provide technical support and training to employees across all locations, including remote support when needed.
    • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for technology-related products and services.
    • Support technology purchasing, budgeting, equipment replacement, and future technology planning.
    • Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and technology resources.
    • Evaluate current and emerging technologies and recommend improvements that support organizational efficiency, security, and operational needs.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • 3+ years of professional experience in information technology, systems administration, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software, networks, and technology systems.
    • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and related Microsoft technologies.
    • Knowledge of user account management, endpoint management, networking, cybersecurity, backup, and data protection practices.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
    • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects, support requests, and deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees, leadership, and outside vendors.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and/or relevant industry certifications.
    • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Intune, and Active Directory.
    • Experience with Cisco Meraki, Veeam, Synology, VoIP systems, or similar technologies.
    • Experience serving as the primary IT resource for an organization.
    • Experience training employees on technology and software.
    • Experience working with people from diverse cultural, educational, and economic backgrounds.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
    • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and work in areas necessary to install or maintain technology equipment and cabling.
    • Ability to perform cabling and equipment installation activities.
    • Ability to lift, move, and install technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Ability to travel between organizational locations as needed.
