Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
- Develop and formulate application samples based on projects, industrial standard, country requirements and regulation compliance.
- Handle and lead beverage application projects such coffee, tea, dairy, plant-based, carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, energy drinks, flavored water and alcoholic beverages, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
- Good understanding of heat treatment process for different beverage categories to ensure product safety.
- Handle lab process equipment including UHT, aseptic filler, homogenizer, carbonator, hot water bath, autoclave and high shear mixer.
- Design, prepare and conduct shelf-life testing for beverages.
- Select and evaluate the right flavor solution in compliance with applications requirements.
- Strong sensory skills to evaluate and select appropriate flavors including preparing performance reports of Library.
- Support Flavorist on created/ modified flavor projects and CIMR for Consumer Insight Study.
- Initiate/collaborate with marketing team to propose an interesting application.
- Serve as technical expert and advisor to team and customers.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and clients.
- Actively manage the flavor stock in library for prompt service and dispose safety.
- Manage necessary supplies for laboratories such as packaging material and raw material.
- Operate, Maintain, calibrate and clean laboratory equipment and work area.
- Capable of handling additional tasks assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in R&D or flavor development within the food and beverage industry
- Comfortable working in environments with strong flavor aromas
- Basic knowledge of:
- Sensory evaluation
- Chemistry
- Laboratory procedures and methodologies
- Good command of English (minimum TOEIC 650 or equivalent)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Technical Support)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and speed in a fast-paced environment
