Talmenta transitions mathematical research from the 19th century (master-apprentice + deep thinking) to the 21st century (management-based + AI-assisted). We implement this transformation by training and dispatching research managers to mathematicians worldwide.
We need you to sell this future-oriented service to the research community! Until now I have worked with junior crew from university which has generated enough evidence that the company is feasible, but it's time to hire real professionals like you.
What is different in this role:
• Assertiveness is welcome. Your challenge is to convince conservative mathematicians of the inevitable AI-assisted future and make them try our research management. If you are an assertive person but your current job is focused on social norms and risk-aversion, you will enjoy this challenge.
• Independent execution. I will give you great advice every week, but the only goal you will ever get from me is "build up our sales". If you naturally pursue long-term goals but are facing frequent directional changes in your current job, you will enjoy my work environment.
• Become more of yourself. Talmenta is built entirely around the value of talent-based management. We not only supply great management to mathematicians, but also within our own company. If you already know who you are and want to take your strengths to the next level, you will enjoy my mentorship.
Here is more context:
• Business evidence. The mathematical research community anticipates shocking workforce changes due to the rise of AI. Discussions in university mailing lists confirm that selecting and training research managers is the missing key for this transition. We currently serve five preliminary clients and are in talks with Axiom Math to serve as their technology distributor.
• Compensation. Talmenta is an early-stage startup. I will pay you enough so you can live and breathe but the real incentive lies in the stock ownership (think 1–3%) you will receive for selling this exceptional venture.
• Work schedule. I am looking for high-performing individuals who are energized by our mission and ready to commit full-time. However I will understand if you are not ready yet, in which case you may start with part-time freelancing.

The base pay range for this role is $0 – $84,000 per year.
