THE ROLE
Our Catering Packer supports Tatte’s efforts to inspire, care for and nurture life, every day, by working with a team to pack catering orders. The Catering Packer is committed to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship in all aspects of their work. They finalize orders by carefully packing savory and non-savory items and preparing them for delivery to clients.
As the last person to compile orders for our clients, the person in this role ensures that catering orders are packed accurately, consistent with Tatte’s standards, and ready on time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Check that all items prepared by our savory team are prepared and packaged to specifications and are clean, with no drips or smudges
- Complete the packaging of every item according to packaging, label, and cutlery specifications
- Consolidate all items in an order so they are together and ready for handoff for delivery or pickup
- Keep the packing station clean and free of food debris, clutter, and other materials
- Restock all items kept in the packing station
- Maintain professional working relationships with all Tatte team members
- Perform the job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally throughout the day
- Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift
- Ability to occasionally stoop or kneel
- Ability to frequently flex or rotate the wrists
- Ability to count products accurately
- Ability to examine and inspect all items to ensure quality specifications are met
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with team members
- Knowledge and understanding of product and packaging standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a catering environment
- Prior experience in a high-volume production facility
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Experience working as a member of a team
- Fluency in Spanish and English
