JOB DESCRIPTION
SUBJECT: GROUNDS ATTENDANT
EFFECTIVE DATE: 04-01-2024
REPORTS TO: HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Grounds crewmember responsibilities entail the maintenance and cleanliness of the property exterior, outdoor public areas and all areas between the property lines and the building structure.
- Job functions include but are not limited to the following duties:
- Emptying all parking lot trash receptacles
- Removing all litter from parking areas, landscaped areas and public sidewalks
- Maintaining curb appeal at all property lines
- Collecting all trash inside the pool courtyard area
- Emptying all exterior pool trash cans
- Ensuring pool area is clean of all litter and debris
- Maintaining cleanliness of crewmember parking (gravel lot)
- Clearing and maintaining cleanliness of retention pond areas and shrubbery
- Emptying large trash receptacle into dumpster as needed, no less than end of each shift
- Keeping potted plants around pool area watered and free of trash
- Periodic sweeping of parking areas as needed
- Assisting with securing pool furniture during storm preparation
- Other job duties as assigned by management
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: None
EDUCATION OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
Groundskeeping, landscaping or EVS experience preferred, but not required. Good observational skills and attention to detail.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
The following activities are normally required to perform these functions: stand, walk, bend, reach, read, write, eye to hand coordination, depth perception, effective verbal communication, and organizational skills. Potential for back and eye strain and exposure to outdoor elements.
