Helping our already established webops teams to tackle our outstanding backlog required for the GOV.UK Pay platform to become PCI compliant

Work setup

Address where the work will take place - London 

Working arrangements

Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day + lunch time Must start work by 09:45 and not end before 16:00 Mainly based from our office in Holborn, with opportunities to work from home part time

Essential skills and experience

• Collaborating closely with colleagues in order to meet users’ needs
• Debugging a complex, multi-server service in a high availability environment
• Understanding of application deployment strategies, continuous integration and version control
• Comfortable with automated testing
• Building and configuring new server platforms and the automated tooling to do so
• Familiarity with network protocols – TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, etc
• Deploying and operating applications developed in Java, node.js in a production environment
• Using configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible
• Administering PostgreSQL
• Experience of AWS (EC2 and RDS), delivering a complex web application stack

Nice-to-have skills and experience

• Experience working on a PCI accredited environment
• Experience operating Docker in a production environment
• Experience with modsecurity
