Supervisory Responsibilities: Direct supervision of Machine Technician and Building and Grounds positions. This includes work direction, discipline, and evaluation of direct subordinates according to company policy and applicable laws.
Purpose: Responsible for, and to oversee the preventative maintenance and repairing breakdowns of production machines and forklifts. Promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
- Repair breakdowns to production machines
- Perform light and major preventative maintenance
- Work on all types of CNC machinery
- Trouble shoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic components
- Electrical/Electronic troubleshooting and repair
- Oversees work direction of direct reports and distributes work orders as needed
- Conducts performance evaluations and discipline as needed for direct reports
- Ensures proper training is available and attended by direct reports
- Must be able to perform the above duties without direct supervision
- Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years mechanical and/or automotive experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to follow written/verbal instructions or procedures
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must qualify for driving company vehicles as per company policy
- Must be able to travel and/or attend Machine Technician training classes as needed
