Job Description Position Summary
The Mission Product Lead will serve as the primary bridge between U.S. Air Force mission owners and the Tec-Masters software development team for advanced Agentic AI, software, data engineering, and analytical capabilities supporting electromagnetic spectrum, RF, and technical intelligence missions. The Mission Product Lead is responsible for deeply understanding the customer's goals, workflows, pain points, constraints, and desired outcomes and translating that understanding into clear product requirements and development priorities. This individual will own the customer discovery and product feedback loop, maintain the capability roadmap and backlog in collaboration with customer and technical stakeholders, and ensure the development team is continuously focused on the highest-value mission problems.
Job Description Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrate integrity, excellence, drive, and trustworthiness in all responsibilities, taking ownership and delivering high-quality results.
- Serve as the primary product interface with the Government customer, developing trusted relationships with customer leadership, mission users, analysts, technical stakeholders, and other organizations that influence or use the capability.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer's mission, operational workflows, objectives, constraints, pain points, priorities, and measures of success through direct and frequent engagement with users and stakeholders.
- Spend significant time with mission users observing and discussing how work is actually performed, identifying bottlenecks, manual processes, unmet needs, and opportunities where software, AI, automation, or data capabilities can materially improve mission outcomes.
- Distinguish the underlying customer problem and desired outcome from a requested implementation, challenging unclear or overly prescriptive requirements when necessary to identify the simplest effective solution.
- Translate customer problems, workflows, and desired outcomes into clear product requirements, capability concepts, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development priorities that the technical team can act upon.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog and capability roadmap in collaboration with customer stakeholders and technical leadership, focusing development resources on the highest-value mission problems.
- Serve as the voice of the customer to the development team, ensuring engineers understand the operational context, user need, priority, and expected outcome behind each significant capability.
- Serve as the voice of the product to the customer, maintaining a strong understanding of the software's capabilities, limitations, architecture, and planned evolution and communicating those capabilities in clear, mission-oriented terms.
- Maintain a rapid customer feedback loop by leading working sessions, software demonstrations, capability reviews, and roadmap discussions; collecting user feedback; validating capabilities in operational workflows; and translating lessons learned into product improvements.
- Facilitate customer validation of delivered capabilities against agreed acceptance criteria and mission outcomes.
- Proactively identify additional mission problems, adjacent use cases, and opportunities where existing or planned product capabilities can provide value and engage customer stakeholders to shape viable expansion opportunities.
- Define and track meaningful product outcome measures, such as adoption, workflow improvement, time savings, quality, throughput, or other mission-relevant indicators, and use those measures to guide product decisions.
- Surface significant customer concerns, changing priorities, unresolved requirements, product risks, and emerging opportunities to technical and company leadership and facilitate alignment when priorities or desired outcomes conflict.
