Retail Associate (Full-time)

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a Retail Associate to join our London team. Our ideal candidate is warm and curious, with a natural instinct for service.

You will work in an ambitious environment where we are reimagining what modern luxury can feel like, sharing your knowledge of our products with care and acting as a true ambassador for everything Tekla stands for.

The primary location for this position is Marylebone High Street, though occasional support at our Selfridges counter, a short walk from the store, may also be required.

You should enjoy taking on responsibility and feel a genuine interest in understanding what each customer needs. A real appreciation for our brand and for premium product, paired with an eagerness to learn and to share what you know, will be at the heart of your success here.

This is a full-time position, and because of the rhythm of the store, availability during evenings and weekends is essential.

What you will do:

Every day in this role looks a little different, but you can expect to:

• Build genuine, lasting relationships with our customers through thoughtful clienteling, making each visit feel personal and unhurried.
• Host our VIP clients in store and at private appointments, offering informed advice with care and discretion.
• Support the store's daily operations, including sales, visual merchandising, and replenishment.
• Develop a deep understanding of our products and how to care for them.
• Share regular reporting and customer feedback with the store manager and senior leadership.
• Work both independently and with the team to ensure the day runs smoothly and to meet our shared goals.
• Take on other ad hoc duties as and when needed.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within premium or luxury retail.
• A background in clienteling, from personalised follow-ups to building a loyal client base.
• An understanding of premium product: what sets it apart, and how to speak about it with confidence.
• Experience hosting VIP clients at a high level and reporting feedback to senior management would be advantageous.
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach, with a genuine interest in helping others.
• Warmth, curiosity, and the ability to start conversations and build relationships with customers.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to adapt to different customers.
• Availability to work weekends and evenings when required.
• A genuine appreciation for our brand and products.
