Responsibilities
What you get to do every day:- UI/UX Design & Implementation: Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web-based applications
- User Experience Optimization: Translate complex workflows into simple, efficient user experiences that improve usability and adoption
- Front-End Development: Build and maintain front-end components using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar)
- Usability & Accessibility: Ensure applications meet usability standards and accessibility best practices
- Design Systems: Contribute to and maintain consistent design patterns, components, and style guides
- User Research & Feedback: Gather and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve interface design and functionality
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to align UI/UX with system capabilities
- Performance Optimization: Improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and scalability
Qualifications
Clearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience
Required Skills:- Strong experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Experience with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience designing user-centered interfaces for complex applications
- Understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design
- Experience working in Linux-based environments
- Ability to translate user needs into functional design solutions
What is ideal?
- Experience with design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Grafana or similar)
- Familiarity with REST APIs and backend integration
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and front-end deployment workflows
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Experience designing and developing intuitive user interfaces for data-driven GEOINT applications.

- The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $87,000 - $150,000. Final compensation is unique to each individual and will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and contractual requirements. This is not a guarantee.
