    Job description

    • Assignment Category: Full Time

    Why Join Us

Carondelet Medical Group is a trusted multispecialty practice embedded within Carondelet Health Network — a Southern Arizona institution with over 135 years of service and a comprehensive footprint spanning three hospitals and dozens of specialty care locations. This opportunity puts you at the forefront of an exciting growth initiative: partnering with skilled CT Surgeons to build a dedicated lung nodule and thoracic surgery program. You'll practice in a collaborative, patient-focused environment backed by a strong referral base and access to state-of-the-art facilities. If you're ready to make a lasting clinical and programmatic impact, Tucson is where that work begins.

    Position Highlights

    • Interventional Pulmonology opportunity with a well-established, growing multispecialty group
    • Elective-based outpatient program — no unplanned, urgent call load
    • Clinic hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
    • Weekend practice call rotation
    • Practice mix: 60% clinic / 40% OR and Endoscopy
    • Collaborative role alongside CT Surgeons to develop a lung nodule and thoracic surgery program
    • Access to Carondelet's full hospital network, including St. Joseph's Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital

    What We Offer

    • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
    • Advanced bronchoscopy opportunities, including robotic-assisted procedures (ION platform)
    • Access to nationally recognized cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation infrastructure
    • Supportive, multidisciplinary team environment
    • Malpractice insurance provided
    • Health, dental, and life insurance
    • 401(k) with employer matching
    • Deferred compensation program
    • Relocation assistance

    Candidate Requirements

    • MD or DO degree
    • Board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary Medicine
    • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure
    • Advanced bronchoscopy training preferred; robotic training with ION a plus
    • Strong clinical and communication skills
    • Commitment to high-quality, compassionate patient care

    Why Tucson

Tucson delivers 350 days of sunshine annually along with a quality of life that's genuinely hard to match — low cost of living, an acclaimed restaurant scene, and a rich Southwestern culture that gives the city a distinct personality. Outdoor enthusiasts will find world-class hiking, biking, and desert exploration practically at their doorstep, while the University of Arizona anchors a vibrant academic and cultural community. The city's diverse population, welcoming neighborhoods, and strong school options make it an equally appealing place to raise a family. For physicians who want to do meaningful work without sacrificing lifestyle, Tucson consistently delivers on both counts.
