    Job description

    • Assignment Category: Full Time
    Why Join Us

Tenet Healthcare is bringing exceptional surgical oncology care to one of Texas's most dynamic and rapidly growing regions — and we're looking for a talented Surgical Oncologist to lead the way. You'll be joining The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, a 500-bed cornerstone facility that houses a dedicated Cancer Program complete with an inpatient unit, outpatient infusion services, and a one-call patient navigator system built to deliver seamless, coordinated care. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role where community need is significant and your clinical contributions will be felt immediately. With strong institutional infrastructure, a collegial team environment, and the full backing of a nationally recognized health system, you'll have everything you need to build a thriving surgical oncology practice.

    Position Highlights
    • Specialty: Surgical Oncology
    • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
    • Clinical days: 2–3 clinic days per week averaging 15 patients per day
    • Surgical days: 2–3 OR days per week with approximately 5–7 cases; volume may increase based on candidate capacity and community demand
    • Call: Optional General Surgery call available at 3–4 days per month
    • Practice setting: The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus — a 500-bed facility with a dedicated inpatient oncology unit and outpatient infusion center
    • Support systems: One-call patient navigator system to streamline care coordination
    • Significant unmet community need with strong growth potential for the right candidate
    What We Offer
    • Salary guarantee plus wRVU-based incentive compensation
    • CME allowance
    • Malpractice insurance provided
    • Health, dental, and life insurance
    • 401(k) with employer matching
    • Deferred compensation program
    • Relocation assistance
    Candidate Requirements
    • MD or DO degree
    • Board eligible or board certified in Surgical Oncology
    • Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one

The city is rich with outdoor adventure, from the Franklin Mountains State Park to the scenic trails of the Chihuahuan Desert, while a thriving arts scene, acclaimed local cuisine, and year-round cultural festivals keep life engaging beyond the hospital.
