Abrazo Central Campus is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. This position provides professional and individualized nursing care to patients undergoing a variety of GI procedures at our centrally located facility at 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road in Phoenix. The RN will coordinate interdisciplinary care planning and ensure high-quality bedside care throughout the perioperative process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to manage patient care effectively.
- Supervise and delegate to other healthcare team members, using independent judgment.
- Systematically evaluate nursing practice quality and contribute to process improvements.
- Support patient safety and infection control practices.
- Participate in hourly rounding and may be designated as charge nurse when needed.
- Provide care for endoscopy procedures including:
- Colonoscopy
- Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
- Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Qualifications
Special Skills Required:
- Effective interpersonal communication and strong teamwork abilities.
- Adaptable in a fast-paced clinical environment with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
- Outstanding customer service and basic computer proficiency.
- Strong preference for candidates with prior Endoscopy experience
Qualifications – Education, Licensure, and Experience:
- Minimum Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of Endoscopy RN experience
- Licensure/Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required upon completion of orientation
