Your pipeline creation is creative work. You then **close the customer yourself.** Your job is to figure out how to close faster. You need to be **AI native**. Build agents and systems that do the repetitive work. Use the time you get back to think, create opportunities, and close. Leadership starts with doing the function successfully yourself. Others learn by seeing you do it. Then you build systems around those successful examples and teach people to win independently. **Don’t apply if:** * **You have no ideas for creating pipeline.** You wait for inbound, a list of leads, or someone else to tell you how to get in front of customers. * **You haven’t done this before.** * **You are not technical and cant understand a technical product** * **You cannot close by yourself.** You make introductions, answer questions, or give advice, but need someone else to get the deal signed. * **You’ve already decided how long a sale takes.** “That’s the enterprise sales cycle” is your explanation for why nothing has closed. * **You aren’t AI native.** You use ChatGPT to polish emails but haven’t changed how you work altogether * **You don’t understand what you’re selling.** You need someone else to keep explaining the product and its value to you. * **You need constant handholding.** You wait for a playbook, hide behind process, or need reminders to do the next step. * **You give things away to get a yes.** You lower prices or make concessions without understanding whether the company actually benefits. * **You cannot adapt.** You keep applying your old company’s model even when it isn’t working here. * **You want the title more than the responsibility.** Your idea of leadership is having people report to you, rather than making them better and owning the team’s results. * **You bring politics.** Gossip, factions, “choose sides,” and sharing private information have no place here.
