Engineering Technician I

We’re looking for a Construction Materials Lab Technician to join our talented team. Our lab techs are an integral part of the Testing Laboratory which evaluates soil, concrete and other construction materials to ensure they meet specific design standards. After training you may be working independently or as part of a team testing construction materials. Being reliable, detailed oriented, and working safely are just a few skills Terracon greatly values in this position. 

The job includes tracking samples and testing dates, recording quality assurance data, observing and conducting tests on soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. As a Laboratory Tech I team member, you will be working under the direction and supervision of experienced staff, until fully trained on a sampling procedure. Duties will include: understanding the project requirements, conducting testing and observations in a soils lab setting, recording and verifying sample data. All testing results and observations must be tabulated and submitted daily in an electronic report. All reports and timekeeping are done daily. All work will be conducted in accordance with Terracon’s IIF Safety culture.
