Terracon is looking for curious minds to join us as an Environmental Project Manager. This is a mid-level position that will help support the growing needs of our service line in California. You will be responsible for managing subsurface investigations, soil vapor assessments, and remedial actions on behalf of our diverse client base. This position would also be responsible for helping senior staff develop new client relationships and maintaining our existing client base. Work with a team of professional experts in our Site Investigation/Remediation department and collaboratively work on dynamic projects with colleagues and clients to ensure work is executed on time and within budget. Responsibilities
- Assist with proposal preparation and RFP/RFQ responses. This involves liaising with internal due diligence staff, Terracon National Account Managers and/or clients with inquiries for services.
- Collaborate with other service lines (e.g., geotechnical, facilities, compliance) for cross-selling opportunities.
- Manage subsurface investigations (Phase II ESAs, Limited Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations) to evaluate soil, groundwater and soil vapor.
- Manage remediation projects that involve soil, groundwater and/or soil vapor response actions.
- Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete these projects. This will include developing project schedules, budget estimation, selecting equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- We lead in safety by embracing the IIF (Incident and Injury Free) culture. Lead IIF through safety efforts including pre-task planning, and preparation and compliance with approved safety plan.
- Take action to resolve operational problems (e.g., staffing/resources) and minimize delays.
- Coordinate and direct field personnel, office staff, and subcontractors to complete the project.
- Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections.
