Role Responsibilities:
The Consumer Lending Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for overseeing quality assurance, loan origination monitoring, operational controls, reporting, and process improvement initiatives across consumer lending. This position serves as a central resource for quality management and operational oversight, ensuring lending activities comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and service standards while supporting departmental efficiency and strategic goals.
• Managing the department scheduling process and workforce coordination to support operational efficiency and staffing needs.
• Overseeing General Ledger balancing and reconciliation activities related to consumer lending operations.
• Monitoring production goals, performance metrics, and operational trends while identifying opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
• Preparing and distributing reports related to quality control findings, operational performance and service levels.
• Performing quality assurance reviews, including call monitoring and evaluation activities, to ensure consistency in service delivery and process execution.
• Maintaining and updating department procedures, workflows, job aids, and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Partnering with consumer lending leadership to identify operational risks.
• Monitoring regulatory or credit union changes and assessing the operational impact on consumer lending processes.
• Assisting leadership with strategic planning through analysis of production metrics, staffing trends, quality results, and operational performance.
• Protecting members and the credit union by ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, internal policies, and due diligence requirements.
• Practicing and promoting Texas Trust's Service Framework and Culture through every interaction.
• Completing all required training and professional development activities.
• Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Experience
• Two (2) years of college or demonstrated experience in lending operations, quality control or similar role;
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in consumer lending operations or a related financial institution environment.
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations about Lending.
Skills, Education and/or Certifications Required
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of consumer lending operations, lending regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Advanced analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across departments and levels of the organization.
• Ability to coach and provide constructive feedback to support employee development and process improvement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and reporting tools.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion.
• Possess a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and team-oriented mindset.
