    Job description

Site Supervisor – Teesside (Static Site)

    About Us:

Johnson Controls, a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization, helps customers use energy more productively, reduce carbon emissions, and operate with the precision and resilience required in rapidly expanding industries such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education.

For more than 140 years, Johnson Controls has delivered performance where it really matters. Backed by advanced technology, lifecycle services and an industry-leading field organization, we elevate customer performance, turn goals into real-world results and help move society forward.

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor with a strong fire alarm engineering background to oversee and support the delivery of fire alarm servicing, gas suppression systems, and mechanical suppression systems at a key static site in Teesside.

This role is ideal for someone who is not only confident leading others but is also technically hands‑on, able to carry out maintenance tasks themselves, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service delivery.

    About the Role

As the Site Supervisor, you will lead a team of on‑site engineers and subcontractors while also completing your own planned and reactive maintenance tasks. You will ensure the effective delivery of all fire detection, gas suppression, and mechanical suppression services across the site.

You will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, routine servicing, fault‑finding, and remedial works on a range of systems, including:

    • Conventional and addressable fire detection systems

    • Networked and graphical fire alarm systems

    • Gas extinguishing systems (e.g., Argonite, CO₂, Inergen, Novec)

    • Mechanical fire suppression equipment and fire extinguishers

You will act as the primary on‑site point of contact, ensuring smooth operations, strong client relationships, and full compliance with site‑specific safety and quality standards.

    What We Offer

    • Competitive salary and commission scheme

    • Company vehicle, fuel card, and full PPE

    • Door‑to‑door payments

    • Overtime and call‑out rota payments

    • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

    • 7% matched pension contributions, life assurance, and employee assistance programme

    • Discounts on high street brands and Johnson Controls products

    • Cycle‑to‑work scheme

    • Employee referral scheme

    • Extensive training and cross‑skilling opportunities

    • Access to business resource groups

    • Supportive, collaborative team culture

    • Clear long‑term career development pathways

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the coaching, development, and onboarding of engineers and apprentices

    Technical Delivery (Hands‑On)

    • Personally carry out maintenance, servicing, fault‑finding, and repairs on fire alarm systems
