    Job description

As the CRM Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining segmentation and workflows in HubSpot, safeguarding data hygiene and compliance, and supporting more senior CRM team members in designing increasingly complex targeting logic. You will be a key point of quality control for email marketing, working with the brand team to ensure campaigns are accurate before they reach customers.

Once familiar with The Adaptavist Group’s HubSpot instance, you will be the main point of contact for day-to-day queries from across the marketing team, as well as ad-hoc queries from the wider business.

    Key responsibilities and accountabilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Segmentation and List Management:
    • Build and maintain contact segments and lists in HubSpot
    • Apply basic exclusion logic to targeting criteria
    • Support senior CRM team members and the wider Marketing team in designing more complex, multi-condition segmentation

    Campaign Delivery and Quality Assurance:

    • Support the marketing team in building and managing HubSpot workflows for standard nurture and lifecycle email sequences
    • QA email campaigns, checking accuracy, personalisation, and compliance before send
    • Support A/B test planning of our email marketing efforts

    Data Hygiene and Compliance:

    • Flag bounced, unsubscribed, or invalid contacts and apply suppression lists
    • Ensure all sends comply with legal requirements (GDPR, PECR, and CAN-SPAM etc)
    • Maintain accurate documentation of workflows, segments, and other supporting materials

    Reporting and Continuous Improvement:

    • Monitor campaign performance (open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, deliverability) and work with the analytics team to present this in useful ways for the business
    • Report findings and flag trends to senior CRM team members
    • Assist with troubleshooting platform issues and escalate complex architecture problems where needed

    Person Specification

    Essential

    • Strong hands-on CRM or marketing automation experience, beyond campaign delivery.
    • In-depth HubSpot knowledge, including workflows, segmentation, forms and properties.
    • Experience improving CRM data quality, contact management and consent processes.
    • Good understanding of email compliance, including GDPR and PECR.
    • Ability to turn CRM reporting into clear recommendations.
    • Experience creating guidance and training to help colleagues use the CRM effectively.
    • Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail, with confidence working independently and supporting the CRM Lead.

    Desirable

    • Experience in a fast-paced tech or SaaS environment.
    • Familiarity with data enrichment, custom properties and integrations.
    • Knowledge of email deliverability and CRM health monitoring.
    • Experience supporting lifecycle and nurture programmes.
