    Job description

    Summary

    The Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retail store and provides leadership to ensure strong sales performance, exceptional customer service, associate development, and operational excellence.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee all sales KPIs, including volume, margin, closing ratio, sales per guest, bedding, and protection.
    • Handle customer-related issues escalated above the Guest Experience Manager or Lead.
    • Provide exceptional leadership and timely, effective communication to the sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
    • Coach associates to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
    • Audit employee performance and administer performance evaluations for assigned staff as needed.
    • Maintain budgeted administrative costs, including wages and supplies.
    • Ensure procedures and assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
    • Complete required reports and functions in a timely manner.
    • Maintain proper staffing levels for each job code in accordance with company-set budget levels.
    • Prepare and administer performance evaluations for assigned staff.
    • Coordinate and execute daily, weekly, and monthly staff meetings.
    • Partner with the Visual Presentation Manager regarding product placement.
    • Communicate policy and other company information to staff members.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • High school diploma required.
    • 2+ years of experience working in the retail industry.
    • 4+ years of supervisory experience in a retail environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to motivate employees to achieve sales KPIs.
    • Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ability to interview and select qualified staff.
