In this role, you will elevate those around you by raising engineering standards, accelerating delivery, applying sound technical judgment to complex problems, providing thought leadership and coaching others. You will use AI-enabled capabilities to improve how work gets done, while ensuring what ships is secure, scalable, resilient and truly worth building. This role is located in New York, NY.

    • Design and build fit‑for‑purpose architectures that balance simplicity, quality, scale, and security.
    • Simplify systems and workflows by removing friction, toil, and unnecessary handoffs.
    • Create durable reusable patterns, guardrails, and tooling that accelerate team delivery.
    • Quickly ramps-up in new domains, technologies, and problem spaces, adapting as needs evolve.
    • Apply strong engineering fundamentals across software design, data, testing, and distributed systems.
    • Use AI-enabled tools deliberately across design, coding, testing, review, and documentation, while keeping strong human accountability for high‑risk decisions, verification, and final quality.
    • Build software with a reliability‑first mindset, incorporating secure coding practices, observability, testing, and disciplined rollout/rollback strategies.
    • Ensure production systems meet required levels of resiliency, performance, scalability, and operability.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree a plus.
    • 12+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated depth in full‑stack engineering and system / application architecture.
    • Prior experience in securities, financial services, or modern engineering-first organizations is a plus.
    • Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, and the design of RESTful and streaming‑based APIs.
    • Hands‑on experience delivering cloud‑native solutions, including microservices, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
    • Working knowledge of NoSQL and distributed data stores, selected and applied appropriately at scale.
    • Experience leveraging AI‑enabled capabilities, including GenAI or ML‑driven services, to enhance developer productivity, system intelligence, or customer outcomes, with a pragmatic understanding of responsible use, scalability, and integration into enterprise platforms.
