    Job description

    Overview

This team was established in response to increasing regulatory reporting requirements for investment funds domiciled in the Netherlands, driven by enhanced oversight from the European Central Bank (ECB) and De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).

The Regulatory Reporting Team is split across two locations: Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and Wrocław, Poland, and works in close partnership to deliver high-quality regulatory reporting services to clients and regulators.

The team is responsible for the delivery of regulatory reporting services, including the production of reporting under MESRAP / MER, Solvency II Lite, and EIOPA requirements. Reporting is prepared in accordance with applicable regulatory standards and includes completion of regulatory templates, execution of checks and controls, and timely submission to regulators.

The team provides regulatory filings to the DNB on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, coordinates ad hoc queries and requests from regulators and clients, and manages reporting processes to ensure that industry deadlines are consistently met.

The client base includes insurance companies, pension funds, and investment fund managers. These asset owners are required to report to the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and the DNB on transactions, positions, receivables, payables, and profit and loss account details on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

On a day-to-day basis, the team ensures that all submissions are completed accurately and in line with established guidelines, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Fund Reporting to join our GIA team. This role is located in Amsterdam.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

    • Set work priorities in line with business needs and reporting deadlines.
    • Manage monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting requirements across multiple funds and clients.
    • Support the preparation, review, and delivery of accurate, timely, and complete reporting submissions.
    • Assist in resolving escalated issues arising during monthly or quarterly regulatory reporting cycles.
    • Perform reviews, validations, reconciliations, and control checks related to reporting outputs.
    • Ensure adherence to established processes and procedures, while operating in accordance with applicable regulatory guidelines.
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and clients, including collaboration across the Amsterdam and Wrocław team locations.
    • Escalate issues, risks, and exceptions in a timely and effective manner.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce audit and financial exposure and enhance team efficiency.
    • Contribute to a strong control environment and a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Stay current with evolving regulatory reporting requirements and ensure reporting activities remain aligned with applicable standards.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Compliance, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 2–5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in English.
    • Dutch language skills preferred.
    • General knowledge of the economy, financial markets, and accounting principles.
    • High level of motivation and willingness to learn in a team-oriented environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Strong Excel skills and prior experience working with spreadsheets in a reporting environment.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under recurring reporting deadlines.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience in regulatory reporting, fund reporting, financial reporting, or related operational processes.
    • Familiarity with control-focused environments and adherence to documented procedures.
    • Experience working with internal stakeholders and clients in a financial services or professional services environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
