We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Digital Assets – Policy, Regulatory & Supervisory to join our Legal & Government Affairs function. This role is located in New York, NY.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

    • Lead BNY’s end-to-end digital asset engagement, spanning external policy and advocacy and internal regulatory and supervisory execution.
    • Develop and maintain a cohesive enterprise position across legislative, regulatory, and supervisory developments, ensuring alignment across business, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Communications.
    • Proactively shape policy outcomes through engagement with Congress, regulators, and industry bodies, while coordinating BNY’s participation across trade associations and driving consistent external messaging.

    • Own execution of a rapidly expanding regulatory and supervisory pipeline, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery aligned with regulatory expectations.
    • Serve as a primary interface with regulators, managing pre-filing engagement, formal submissions, and ongoing supervisory dialogue, while coordinating complex, multi-phase and cross-enterprise regulatory initiatives.
    • Establish and maintain a structured supervisory engagement model and advise business stakeholders on regulatory strategy and approval pathways, while managing competing demands between proactive policy engagement and high-volume regulatory execution.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

    • J.D. required with strong experience advising financial institutions on regulatory, supervisory, and policy matters.
    • Significant experience spanning both external policy/advocacy and internal regulatory execution, ideally within digital assets or adjacent financial services domains.
    • Strong understanding of U.S. regulatory frameworks applicable to digital assets (e.g., NYDFS, OCC, FRB, SEC, CFTC), with awareness of global developments preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage both strategic policy engagement and high-volume operational workflows.
    • Proven experience engaging directly with regulators, policymakers, and/or industry groups.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting comment letters, regulatory submissions, and executive-level materials.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills, with ability to coordinate across multiple concurrent and interdependent initiatives.
    • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-scaling, high-demand environment, with demonstrated prioritization and judgment under capacity constraints.
    • Strategic, proactive mindset combined with strong execution discipline and attention to detail.
    • Collaborative approach with strong ownership and accountability.
