As the Supervisor, Learning, you will provide frontline leadership and operational oversight for a team of learning professionals, ensuring employees are supported, developed, and equipped to deliver high-quality learning solutions. You will balance people leadership, service delivery, stakeholder partnership, and business expertise to drive team performance, operational excellence, and alignment with organizational priorities.
How you will create impact:
- Providing day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management to a team of learning professionals, including goal setting, development planning, recognition, and timely resolution of performance concerns.
- Fostering a highly engaged, inclusive, and psychologically safe team environment through regular coaching conversations, career development support, onboarding, and talent succession planning.
- Leading workforce planning and resource allocation by prioritizing work, managing team capacity, monitoring productivity, and ensuring service continuity and operational effectiveness.
- Monitoring performance metrics, learner outcomes, and operational trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, increased efficiency, and enhanced client experience.
- Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality learning programs through effective governance, process adherence, budget stewardship, and implementation of new initiatives and technologies.
- Building strong partnerships with business leaders, Human Resources, learning teams, Subject Matter Expert’s, and stakeholders to align learning solutions with organizational priorities and support change initiatives.
- Serving as a trusted advisor by applying expertise in adult learning, performance consulting, and business strategy to identify capability gaps, recommend solutions, and drive learning outcomes that support business objectives.
To join our team:
- You have 5 years of experience in Learning & Development with a focus on training and delivery, or a related field.
- You have a post secondary degree in Adult Learning, Learning & Development, Business, Insurance or related field.
- You have or are working towards the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP).
- Working practice of adult learning principles, training best practices, instructional design, insurance operations, resource planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement practices to drive learning and operational excellence.
- Knowledge of people leadership, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, and HR policies to effectively lead and develop teams.
- This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Salary information
Expected salary range $72,847 - $121,411 (min-max, full range).
Salary placement
The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
Incentive/Variable pay
Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
