We are seeking a Restaurant Runner to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the Food & Beverage Function within our organisation. Main Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hot, accurately plated meals from the kitchen to Waiter/Waitress with efficiency, care, and urgency.
- Verify order accuracy before leaving the kitchen and communicate any changes or special requests to servers and culinary staff.
- Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly to maintain smooth dining room flow during all meal periods.
- Assist servers by refilling beverages, removing used dishes, and responding to immediate guest needs.
- Stock and maintain service stations with clean glassware, cutlery, napkins, condiments, and other essential service items.
- Assist with pre-service setup and end-of-shift breakdown, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and well-prepared.
- Maintain dining and service areas in accordance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with both kitchen and service teams to ensure timely, accurate, and seamless delivery of guest orders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- One (1) to two (2) years’ experience in a similar role within a hotel, resort, or high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong understanding of dining room operations, guest flow, and service etiquette.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Physically able to stand for long periods and perform tasks that involve lifting (up to 40 lbs), walking, carrying trays, bending, and stretching.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards; certification in Food Safety/HACCP is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistently delivering high-quality guest service.
