Role Overview:

Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages as well as food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications both courteously and efficiently. Collect payments and assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment. Create an Exceptional Memorable Experience (EME) for each and every guest while interacting on a daily basis.

Main Key Responsibilities 

• Take and record guests’ food and beverage order.
• Input order into system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by Kitchen.
• Legibly document orders when system is down and distribute food orders to kitchen.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation method/time, major ingredients and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish and method of presentation.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections correct glassware and garnishes in the restaurant.
• Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list.
• Maintain complete knowledge of POS and manual systems.
• Serve all food courses and beverages items to the guest.
• Guide the activities of the assigned bus person to ensure optimum service to guests.
• Present guest checks and process payment through the cashier.

• Provide legible communications and directions.
• Compute basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of variable food service styles.
• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Understand and focus attention on guest needs remaining calm and courteous.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
• Ability to input and access information in PMS.

• Be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Be able to walk, lift, stretch, push, and bend.
• Be able to lift 50lbs or more.
