Description:
Complete all steps necessary to process and complete documents for the export of the container and bulk shipment business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Complete accurate export paperwork in a timely manner for customers prior to shipment arriving at destination.
- Provide information or answer inquiries quicky and professionally with other departments, customer and shipping lines.
- Problem solving within the company as well as with outside sources, referring to quality, quantity or other concerns.
- Conduct thorough review of export documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
- Input AES and Manifest bookings, Enter L/C or shipping instructions apply for Phytos by utilizing government websites.
- Maintaining organized folders and filing system.
- Ordering supplies and managing equipment when issues occur.
- Updating and maintaining manual with revised information.
- Scanning and making copies of documents.
- Record keeping of contract reports as payments are advised.
- Use courier services such as Fedex, UPS, and DHL to track shipments and make labels.
Position Requirements:
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and time management/ multitasking.
- Microsoft Office Suite and third-party website experience.
- Ability to communicate and work well in a team setting.
- Customer service experience as this position will be working with customers and multiple steamship lines.
- 6 months export experience preferred.
- 6 months customer service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
Additional Position Information:
Ability to sit for long periods of time, willingness to work extended hours during peak season and occasional weekends and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
