The Job
Our Shiftleaders have a heart for hospitality and strive to deliver remarkable customer service. All beverages at THE DUCHESS are seamlessly integrated into the dining experience. The cocktail offering includes a unique selection of refined and often-overlooked beverages, and a tailor-made wine list, complementing THE DUCHESS cuisine with the most exclusive wines and champagnes from around the globe.

The bar was awarded Best Luxury Restaurant Bar of Europe' at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards 2017, ‘Best Hotel Bar’ in Esquire’s Best Cocktail Bar Contest 2015 and 'Best Cocktail Bar' in the Entree Awards 2015.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations to guarantee a smooth and efficient service flow

• Train and motivate the service team to uphold THE DUCHESS’ commitment to excellence

• Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless communication and coordination

• Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback with professionalism

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Shiftleader, Supervisor or Management role within the hospitality industry

• Previous experience working in a large city is an advantage

• Fine dining experience is preferred

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, upscale dining environment

• Team spirit

• Fluent speaking and writing in English

• Living in Amsterdam (flexible with commuting)
