    • Longitudinal and statistical analysis: Acquire skills in conducting biomarker guided longitudinal analyses of brain health outcomes using advanced methods including disease incidence modeling and dimension reduction on exposure/outcome measures in nutritional neuroscience.
    • Scientific communication: Prepare technical reports and manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and contribute to grant proposals with robust preliminary findings to compete for federal, foundation, and industry funding.

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Doctoral-level training (PhD, MD, ScD, ND or equivalent) in nutrition, neuroscience, nutritional epidemiology, neuroepidemiology, neurology, or nutritional biochemistry/biology, including human investigation experience as evidenced by publications.
    • Evidence of research and publication productivity in peer-reviewed settings, and an aspiration to advance original research on nutritional metabolism impacting cognition and overall brain health.
    • Valuable assets: Experience in research on brain aging, Alzheimer’s or cerebrovascular diseases; independence in longitudinal statistical analysis; success in participant recruitment; and early funding accomplishments.
