    Job description

    Are you ready to make a real difference in people's lives? Join the Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD as a Fixed Assets Examiner. The Fixed Assets Examiner supports the Financial Services Department by maintaining accurate records of organizational fixed assets. This position is responsible for recording newly acquired assets, tracking existing assets, documenting asset transactions, and accounting for asset dispositions in accordance with agency policies and procedures.

    Your Role in Action:

    • Monitor and maintain internal controls related to fixed asset recordkeeping.
    • Receive, track, and record fixed assets in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for all fixed asset transactions
    • Record asset acquisitions, transfers, modifications, and dispositions within the fixed asset management system.
    • Assist with receiving and verifying assets against purchase orders.
    • Communicate fixed asset issues, discrepancies, and updates to management.
    • Ensure fixed asset records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal departments and stakeholders.
    • Adapt to changing priorities and support ongoing agency operational needs
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.

    What qualifications you will need:

    Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.

    Experience:

    • Four (4) years of progressive administrative, clerical, office support, records management, purchasing, accounting support, or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
    • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
    • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory tracking processes.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, customers, and the public.
    • Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
    • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic record management applications.
